A Conversation With Celine Condorelli

Bau Bau by Celine Condorelli
Wednesday, April 19th, 7pm
80WSE Gallery
80 Washington Square East.

80WSE Gallery welcomes London-based artist Céline Condorelli to discuss her forthcoming monograph, Bau Bau, published by Mousse Publishing, and how her work spans across different methodologies and languages. In her practice, Condorelli uses publishing as a context for a body of work, while exploring how teaching acts as a way of thinking in public. Presenting from past and current projects, including upcoming work at P! (New York), the artist will address forms of display through radical exhibition practices from the 20th century. Céline Condorelli is interested in the role of friendship in the formation of culture, and the politics of legacy, as to how to read and bring references to the present and into the future, while continuing to ask questions of the past.
