Xiomara Rodriguez

Project Assistant/Research Associate, Language RBERN

Xiomara Rodriguez is a Bilingual Project Assistant/Research Associate for the New York State Statewide Language Regional Bilingual Education Resource Network (RBERN) at New York University's Metro Center. A first generation college graduate, Ms. Rodriguez holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Columbia University, where she was a member of the Serrano’s Scholars Program for Foreign Affairs. Ms. Rodriguez began her work in academia as an enrollment specialist for international students. She went on to become Executive Assistant to the Dean of Continuing Education and Workforce Development at BMCC, CUNY. Xiomara has worked in Bilingual education for over twelve years. Prior to her work at NYU, she was a dedicated and successful Project & Office Manager at the NYS Manhattan/Staten Island Bilingual/ ESL Technical Assistance Center (BETAC) at Hunter College, CUNY. Xiomara is an enthusiastic life-long learner. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at NYU Steinhart’s Department of Administration, Leadership, and TechnologyXiomara is looking forward to her graduation this May of 2020.
