In addition to our multiple departmental performance and rehearsal spaces delineated below, we utilize diverse facilities and performance venues in New York City with regular performances at Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, Tenri Hall, selected Broadway and off-Broadway theatres, and acclaimed jazz clubs. The Kimmel Center, a facility that opened in Fall 2003, houses eighteen acoustically treated practice rooms, rehearsal rooms, a recital hall, chamber music spaces, the five hundred forty seat Eisner-Lubin auditorium, and the state-of-the-art Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. The Skirball Center includes a magnificent theater with close to 900 seats in which we present symphony orchestra concerts, music theatre and opera productions, department-wide meetings and special events.

Kimmel resources available to our students include 18 practice rooms, four large ensemble rooms, the Shorin Recital Room (150 movable seats), the Eisner-Lubin Auditorium (540 seats), the Skirball Theatre (862 seats), a dance studio, and a dozen flexible rehearsal spaces, including one rehearsal space that matches the exact dimension of the Skirball Theatre stage.
