NYU Metro Center Publishes Voices in Urban Education's First Issue

VUE issue 1“With All Deliberate Speed”: Reimagining Integration from a Racial Equity Frame (Volume 49, Issue 1) is the first issue of Voices in Urban Education (VUE) published by NYU Metro Center since the journal was acquired from the Annenberg Institute for School Reform at Brown University.

Each issue of VUE is organized around a theme and strives to provide cutting-edge analysis of a vital issue in urban public education. We strive to center and uplift the voices most often pushed to the margins in these conversations, because they undoubtedly have the greatest stake in the outcomes of the discussion.

While the discussion on school integration is heating up locally and nationally, we join the conversation by presenting various perspectives. These perspectives are complemented and augmented by student collaborators, who tell us their stories through their artwork, which stretches cover to cover throughout the issue.
