Recently, NYU Metro Center's ASD NEST hosted “WRaP”, a workforce readiness summer program designed for autistic high school students interested in STEM. This unique, free summer program leverages student interests and helps them develop essential pre-employment skills. Students engage in an iterative design process to develop their innovation and participate in activities such as bug/debug tasks and team scrum challenges. Participants develop the technical capacities alongside critical skills essential in the workplace, all while also pursuing a passion.
