Patterns of English learner student reclassification in New York City public schools

This study describes patterns in New York City students' reclassification from English learner to English proficient, how these patterns changed over time, and how reclassification patterns differed by various student characteristics. The study was conducted by Michael Kieffer (NYU Steinhardt) in partnership with the Research Alliance, with support from the Institute of Education Sciences through the Regional Educational Laboratory Northeast and Islands.
